Daniel Boone Wilderness Trail Interpretive Center

Project Summary

Quesenberry’s Construction received the Association of General Contractors Tri-Cities Branch 2018 Project of the Year Award for the Daniel Boone Wilderness Trail Interpretive Center. Directly in front of Kane Gap, one of the last undeveloped sections of the Wilderness Road, the Boone Center’s architecture harks back to the early homes and forts of those heading west. Constructed with structured insulated panels (SIP), the center includes a museum, conference center, outdoor spaces and a gift shop.  The Boone Center is now part of Natural Tunnel State Park and serves as a regional hub for tourism, connecting the region’s historical and cultural stops.
